We’re all worried about money.
Don’t let scammers take yours.
Scams are on the increase, they can affect anyone, at any age, from any background, and can happen online, in person or on the phone. Lots of us are facing higher bills and worrying about money, and scammers are trying to take advantage of this.
You can find out how to spot scams, report them and get help on the Citizens Advice public site, and read more about scams on our Research and campaigns page.
If you or someone you know has been scammed:
Call Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133 for support.
Report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
The Reading Ukrainian Advice Centre is on the third floor of Reading Central Library, providing advice, support and information to Ukrainian nationals arriving in the UK.
Useful information for people arriving from Ukraine can also be found on Reading Borough Council’s website.
We are a local charity and welcome any support you are able to give us. You can help by donating, by volunteering, or simply by recommending us.

You can also support us by becoming a Friend of Citizens Advice Reading and joining a fun group of people wanting to give something back to their community. The Friends organise events, quizzes, raffles, bake sales, you name it and have a lot of fun along the way! You can get involved as much or as little as you want. If you are on Facebook, add yourself to the group. If not, you can email the Friends at email@example.com to find out what’s going on.
